HI, and welcome to the forum. I believe it means "twice a day." There is a thread in here somewhere about this. You could also call your pharmacist for 100% certainty.

It is the abbreviation which we see in the prescription.

The difference is:
b.i.d. - American way of writing
BD - British/Indian way of writing

b.i.d. stands for bis in die ; t.i.d. stands for ter in die; o.d. stands for once daily

b.i.d. - daily twice / twice daily / two times daily / daily two times

qd - means quaque die (Latin) - every day ( English )
q means every ; d means day

Suppose, if you see q.i.d. (quater in die)- it means 4 times daily.

Additional information: Sometimes, you see the following abbreviations on a prescription:
q2h - every 2 hours
q4h - every 4 hours
q6h - e
