00 During my two weeks internship at a Swiss-german newspaper agency, marketing became to me a matter of particular interest and I became familiar with the idea of studying business with a specilisation in marketing.02br
00The idea of how to attract customers is fascinating and captivating me, consequently I would like to gain knowledge in this area. By analysing advertisings in any form during my spare time I started questioning myself about the “why and how” customers are attracted. After reading several books and magazines, it became clear to me that marketing isn't only about advertising, which makes it even more interesting to study this subject.02br

00Not only makes it the new campus extremly attractive to study at BI, the excellent scandinavian learning approach methods promise furthermore a very high educational level.02br
00By living near the Swiss border and spending most of my spare time in Switzerland, I am familiar with the advantages of living in a beautiful and peaceful country like Switzerland. Since both countries, Norway and Switzerland, share these two aspects, I would already be adapted to the surrounding conditions. Furthermore, I have a special flavour for Scandinavia which I dicovered from several journeys to Finland and Sweden. 02br
00 Why not study at some university in one of these countries? Because BI isn't just one of the best business schools in Europe, it is much more:02br
00One of the main reasons is, as I already have mentioned above, the high educational level scandinavian schools offer which makes it attractive to study in a scandinavian country like Norway. Since the norwegian language has some roots in the german, I would also love to expand my language skills by learning Norwegian.02br
00During my exchange year in Australia three years ago, I have made many friends from Norway and Sweden with whom I still have close contact. Studying at BI would also give me the opportunity to enforce these important lifetime friendchips and connections.02br

00I will graduate in may 2007 from the OOOOOXXXXXX in Switzerland. By also attending a private school, I know the advantages of private schooling from firsthand experiences. My degree focuses on the main subjects which I took in the final exams, speaking of German, English, Biology and Geography. However, since the DSG is a relatively small school compared to schools in Germany, I took every subject on a level between standard and higher. Mathematics for instance is taught on a high-level (“Leistungskurs” in Germany), other subjects such as History or Chemistry on a “mid higher “level. During an exchange program in 2004, I have had the opportunity to attend a high-school in Sydney, Australia, for half a year and to gain a new perspective of learning methods. Furthermore, I lived together with a host family and had to organise my life on my own.02br
00This enriching and interesting experience showed me how to live alone outside my home country and how to adapt to new cultures and environmental structures. Today, I see in this period of my life an important pre-university life experience which would undoubtly help me to adapt easier at BI.02br

00I expect from studying at BI to gain a deeper knowledge in the business and especially in the marketing sector and eventually to work for an international enterprise after I graduate.02br
