bewitch or bewitched

Hi everyone, first of all I'd like to say sorry for my bad english.I have a question about these 2 words. My friend's gonna name his new resort as "bewitch resort" or "bewitched resort" which one is correct and more positive. I've asked my friend who comes from England he said "bewitched makes more sense but both technically work, and bewitched might make it sound more negative than positive.Bewitched makes more sense and sounds better

bewitched implies the resort itself is bewitched which can be good/bad

but bewitch resort I guess sound more... commercial i guess? it's not grammatically correct I guess"

what about you guys...please help me

I agree with your friend from England. I think Bewitched makes more sense, but is somewhat negative. It could be interpreted as Cursed Resort , or Unlucky Resort , which is probably not what you want.

  • How about Bewitching Resort , if you want to stick with bewitch in some form?
  • Alternatively, you could come up with a different name: Enchanted Resort , perhaps.

Reminds me of the old song, "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered."

But it is somewhat negative.
Use
Enchanted Evenings Resort
Beguiling Beach Resort

He may as well advertise it as a haven for blood-thirsty zombies as well. Apparently he doesn't want it to be a very profitable business.

Yes, that would be a good name. You'd need to capitalize it correctly, though: "Enchanted Beach Resort".
