Between/reach out there

Hi

A certain psychic speaks how she worked with his boyfriend: We combined our talents and started teaching psychic development classes. Between his skills and mine, we had successfully taught several workshops in sensory expansion, and I felt our work together was perfectly complementary. Between the two of us, people in our classes were able to have some very exciting personal psychic breakthroughs.

With him in my life as an emotional anchor, I found I could really open up, really reach out there. My readings for others were better than ever.

--- I'm not sure I understand these three bolded phrases. Is it possible to say them differently
