between one’s eyes vs "between its eyes"

This is a sentence in an exercise on "error correction" from a textbook.

A rattlesnake has a spot between one’s eyes that is sensitive to heat.

The answer here is "one". I am wondering about the correction here. I think it should be "between its eyes". Do you agree? Thanks.

Yes. (However, the fact is wrong: the heat-sensing 'pit' of the pit viper is between each eye and nostril.)
