Between a rock and a hard place

Hi teachers~

I am wondering if 'between a rock and a hard place' and 'be of two minds about something' are very common idiom.

I am not a big fan of idiom, so if you have any suggestions let me know.

Thank you~~^^

They are both well-known idioms that are often used, though I'd be more likely to say " in two minds about something"
