Informally, it's fine, but not for formal writing. (Be careful with spelling: Joan, Vick, answer) CJ

hi thanks for the reply but how would be the correct answer ,i mean if i want to express the same but formally ,would it be with "Among Joan, Vick and me we found the asnwer?"

thanks

Well, the "between" in the informal version carries the connotation of "working together". I don't sense that "among" could carry that meaning in the given context. In a written form (i.,e., 'formally') I would write "Working together, Joan, Vick, and I found the answer".

Between the three of us, we found the answer is quite fine with me. (But then I almost never dress up in suit and tie.)
