Better way to say this?

A: I want fried chickens

B: How many do you want? / How many would you like?

This seems like "a textbook english" for me. Any natural way to say it?

I assume you are sitting in a restaurant. I assume you are ordering from a menu that lists the food items available. If the menu does not include fried chicken, then you can't order it.

Just say eg I'd like the fried chicken, please.

They won't ask you how much you want. Everybody gets the same amount.

What dialog ensues depends on what exactly is available.

Would you like white meat? Dark meat? Extra crispy? Etc.

In real life you are familiar with how these things work from observing other customers or from recalling your own previous experience. So you don't make the mistake o
