Hi, This is the explantion for bestowed- confer or present (an honour, right, or gift):

I don't know what to chose from the list ...

The dictionary shows me that powers mean authority does this is the meaning to the powers of the angles?

Hello, As far as i am concerned, bestowed their power here means "he gave them their power" or "he conferred them their power". As you have seen in the dictionary, gift, lend or honor are bestowed' synonyms.
