Best way to command spoken English

Hi there

I dont know if I chose the proper section for my post..... I hope I did

I believe this question is posed by any Eng learner who doesn't merely want to speak Eng but rather wants to master the language (and they can't just go to any native Eng country )

Films and books (particularly modern novels) are what i wish to be good sources.

Considering books, can you give me titles of books that'd enrich our spoken and informal vocabulary-items and ways of expressing the language as it is spoken today???

According to my experiences ,the best way is speaking all the time, because at first year in university it was really hard to express myself , i realized that and i became volunteer to an international organization (universiade).For a month i got relations with people from different counturies. Every time i spoke eng. and now i rarely come across with hardships.
