"best paying jobs" vs "best paid jobs"

Hi,

(1) If I google-search, first the phrase "best paying jobs in the UK", and then "best paid jobs in the UK", I see that the first version is used twice as frequent as the second one.

(2) If I google-search the phrase "best paying jobs in the US", and then "best paid jobs in the US", the outcome is quite the opposite: the second version is about twice as frequent as the first one.

Do you think these search results are ... kind of logical/expected?

Thank you!

Very interesting. I would have guessed it was 50-50 on both sides of the Pond.
