Best ending

Which is the best ending to the sentences below? Why?

a) My car's broken down,
- so I'll go to work on the bus next week

Neither one is better. You choose one or the other depending on what you mean, that is, how you feel about the situation.

To my ear, the first ending shows less emotion. It shows a sort of determination to face the situation and respond to it logically.

The second ending shows more emotion. To my ear, it sug

Thanks. Why can't we say "I'll go to work on the bus?". Is there a difference between "I'll go to work" and "I'll be going to work"

I changed it because go to work on the bus sounded odd to me at first. The more I think about it, though, the less unacceptable it sounds.
