Best Damn Thing

Hi all.

As you know, my English is not good and I don't know that my subject is politely or not.

Sometimes I hear in some movies that they say it's the best damn thing. But I don't know what it means or when we should use it. So can you tell me more about this term?

Thanks.

Hey Jeff, It pretty much means exactly The Best Thing . **** is put in there simply for emphasis to show that the speaker really thinks it is absolutely the best thing. Did you taste that Blueberry pie?

Hi Jeff

It means the same as "It's the best thing" or "It's the very best thing"

Except - you have used a slightly rude word to say so

It comes from very old language - "Ill be damned if that's not the best thing"

[= May *** damage me if I do not speak the truth]

You can use it with friends (and in the forum) but you shouldn't use it in formal ways - do
