Best choice of word order?

I confused about the best place for "that" in the following sentence.

"You need to make sure that if any of these risks end up becoming a reality, you are well prepared for them."

"You need to make sure, if any of these risks end up becoming a reality, that you are well prepared for them."

Is there a preferred way or are both acceptable?
