Berlin Wall
i know that the Berlin Wall was built to prevent people from escaping from the east to west, so why people wanted to go to west? anybody know?

Ario Barzan..... I know that the Berlin Wall was built to prevent people from escaping from the east to west, but why did people want ed to go to the west? Because West Germany and especially West Berlin were quite modern places that had largely been rebuilt after World War 2, and the people living there were relatively prosperous and had freedom.
