Let me join the topic.
I am a Japanese studying English for several years.
In my understanding, C may be best. The reason is:
Winter IS already IN THE STATE OF "GONE=(absent)" because Spring HAS COME now, (the former part is not perfect but present tense, I think, like "he is dead"), or Winter is "only in my memory" and Spring has come with its specutacularly colourful scene and fragr
