Vocabulary

"Benevolent mother to us all."

Hello.
I am reading a book and I have difficulty in understanding a sentence. It says "Benevolent mother to us all." Is it an idiom or something like that? Could you please explain it in other words?
Thanks in advance! Emotion: smile

Anonymous Benevolent mother to us all. It's not a sentence, and it's not an idiom that I've ever heard. It appears to mean just what the words say.
