Benefit vs. advantage

I wonder if I can use ' benefit' instead of' advantage' in the following sentence.

It seems that attending this course will be an advantage for anyone hoping to be promoted.

Yes, you can use those. ('Benefit for' seems OK, but 'to' is the usual, I think.)
