Could someone tell me what is difference in meaning of the two words. If possible, give some examples.

These words have a similar meaning, kind, but in the US beneficent is almost never heard - I wasn't sure what it meant and had to look it up. I'm a native English speaker in the US, and I've never used this word in speech or writing in my entire life. Benevolent is the word you'd hear. Beneficent would only be used in the most formal religious contexts.
