Beneath

Is this sentence correct:



"It was a quick eartquake, so I didn't really feel afraid, but if the ground beneath my feet had been shaking for more than 20 seconds, I most certainly might have paniced."

It wasn't a strong earthquake, so I didn't really feel afraid, but if the ground beneath my feet had shaken for more than 20 seconds, I most certainly would have panicked.

  • 'beneath my feet' is redundant with 'ground', but it's a fairly harmless redundancy.
  • At the end there I would not combine 'most certainly' with 'might', which indicates uncertainty.
