Bench press

The proper name for it is bench press, but can I say:

All chest benches are taken.

The bench press is an exercise machine for the chest, so can I use chest bench.

Benches refers to all benches, not just those for bench presses. I realize it's colloquial, but what's wrong with "bench presses"? At the gym I have heard them called "chest presses". If these are machines (not free weights) you could say all the "bench p
