Believe in

Hi.
When do you say I 'believe in' something, and when do you say I am sure of it?You know, I want to know the different ways of expressing such concepts.What percentage mean 'believe', What percentage means 'sureness', what percentage is 'speculation', What percentage is 'assumption', etc?
