Vocabulary

being worked

Hello everybody Emotion: smile

Here is my context: a woman is on purpose leaning over a man lying down in order to grab a beer from an icebox. The text reads: Max's mouth felt a little dry; knowing you were being worked didn't make it ineffective.

Does this mean that the woman was playing with him or something like that?

Thank you so much

Hi, Yes, something like that. She's trying to gain something from him, possibly sexual favours or some other type of thing. It doesn't really mean she's doing much physically, but she is working on his feelings.
