Being + Past Participle

Hi,

May I ask if the usage of “Being + Part Participle” in the following sentence is correct?

- Getting good academic results and being praised by the teachers, Ann is a role model in the class.

Many thanks,

K

"being praised" is OK in itself. However, as a whole, the structure of your sentence feels awkward, and the sentence does not flow well. This reads better: Ann is a role model in the class.
