"Being" or "To be"

I have question about sentence below;
Which of them is correct?
"Mary loves being in the spotlight, specially at work"
"Mary loves to be in the spotlight, specially at work"
I didn't understand the diffrent between them ... !

Spelling: e specially. Otherwise, both sentences are correct and they mean very nearly the same. There may be a slight preference for "being" when she is in the spotlight at the time of speaking, versus "to be" when it is just a desire, but this is not clear-cut.
