Being on time / punctual

Hello,

The man has forgotten his midterm paper. He wants to drive home and take his paper but it takes time to drive home and come back . So , he will be late for his class. His professor has a strict attendence policy and won't allow hime to attend the class.

Can I say the instructor is strict about being on time /puntual for his class.

I'm afriad I think a little too much on that.

It is probably about understanding and perhaps because I am not a native.

Anyway I will tell you what sounds ambiguous- It was unclear whether the instructor was punctual or whether he only expected others to be punctual.

I can see how, if you only look at the final question, you could find it ambiguous but if you look at the context of the entire story it's clear (and entirely unambiguous) that the professor is strict with
