They're not tenses. They are participles.

The best way to do this is to put the participle first.

Covered with a duvet, I sat down on the couch and cried for over two hours and then ordered a pizza.

Or if you sat down first and then covered yourself with a duvet, then instead of the participle, make that one in a series of actions:

I sat down on the couch, covered myself with a duvet, cried for over two hours, and then ordered a pizza.
