Being at home

I literally love being at home.

I saw the above in one of the quotes on Facebook.

Is "love" a main verb and "being" a gerund?

Is "being at home" a gerund phrase functioning as a direct object to the verb "love"? Are direct object and object complement interchangeable here?

Thanks

Yes to all except the last question. I don't really understand the last question. How do you envisage that they might be "interchangeable"?

No. Those terms have different meanings.

The general term is "complement of the verb". "direct object" is one kind of complement of the verb, but not the only kind.

[ I literally love . . . is to me an odd phrase. ]
