Your sentenance is techincally correct.

The problem with beginning a sentence with "being" is that you're writing very passively. The verb "to be" should be used as sparingly as possible. Your sentence would be better started with "since" or "because." It also sounds a bit redundant since it is generally assumed doctors have some grasp of human nature and behavior.
