Could you please clarify me for the use of "being" in the following sentence. The sense of this sentence is not cleared to me. I would appreciate your kind attention.

"THE REASON BEING IS IF YOU SAVE A FILE....."

Yes, it is correct sentence. It is in the well written format.

the reason being is more correctly placed after another statement and followed by that, not is. In its correct form it is a participial construction.

We couldn't get here on time, the reason being that the bus was late.
(We couldn't get here on time because the bus was late.)

A sentence with the reason being is in general a somewhat sloppy
