'Behind every silver lining ...'

Hi friends,
I have some problems with this expression I have read in a book:
'Behind every silver lining is a cloud'
and I would like to know it's exactly meaning.
I gather that it is a expression form.
Thanks in advance, jo.

Anon, it's a play on the expression 'Every cloud has a silver lining', that is, no matter how gloomy things may seem, they will get better. 'Behind every silver lining is a cloud' was probably coined by a comedian or a confirmed pessimist; no matter how great things seem, they will get worse.
