I'd say she expressed a similar idea only very generally speaking. I wouldn't categorize the sentence either as correct or as having exactly the same meaning. One problem with her sentence is that behavior is very much associated with the manner of doing something rather than simply doing something. In addition, you might "emulate or imitate the behavior of others", but you can't "do the behavior of others".

One problem with her sentence is that behavior is very much associated with the manner of doing something rather than simply doing something. In addition, you might "emulate or imitate the behavior of others", but you can't "do the behavior of others".
