behave like himself?

'She stated that for the past two days he had not been behaving like himself.'
The sentence above is a part of a EFL textbook for Korean students. 
I am wondering if 'behave like himself' sounds natural to the native English speakers. I thought 'act like himself' is more suitable.

I think that "behaving like himself" is acceptable. "acting like himself" is probably more common though.
