Before turned out it has many meaning!? ??

Question

I usually use " before " as a word that it means some thing is happening or is placed ahead or in prior to another thing.

But what I've just figured out, that it is also used as a synonym to the word" in front of" ...

So I am wondering wheather what i have thought of is right? and when is it exactlly used as the latter meaning ,example please?

Yes, that is right.  'Before' meaning 'in front of' is not used so often nowadays, and it is rather formal compared to 'in front of'.
