Before or Until

1) Can I say "I can't start working on this home work before August" or should I only say "I can't start working on this (home work) until August?

2) Btw, is it "should I only say ...." or "should I say only ..." in my first question?

Another question just popped in my head Avangi:

What is the difference between "Should I only sip this drink" and "Should I sip only this drink"?

"Should I only sip this drink" - I'm not allowed to drink, but I can get a sip.

"Should I sip only this drink" - I'm not allowed to sip any of the other drinks

Is my answer correct? I apologize in adavance if I had gi

You have it exactly right!

Edit. Well, there are two interpretations of "to sip."

"Only a sip!" "Just a sip!" is the interpretation you have used in the first example.

There's also, "If you drink it straight down, you'll burn your esophagus! Just sip it."

Either interpretation works for the first example.
