Is there always a comma before "Inc." in a company name, or does it depend on the company?

So far, I have failed to find a definitive reference, but along the way I found these, both of which offer punctuation guides for sale: J ED New Media Inc Optimum Resource, Inc. My own feeling is that the comma is still all but obligatory.
