Which is right?

I was waiting for you to wake up before going/before I went.

one more thing Which would you say and are correct:

  • The day you lie to me is the day I'll divorce you/The day you lie to me will be the day I divorce you.

alc24 I was waiting for you to wake up before going/before I went. They're both okay, but the second one has the advantage of making it clear who's going. Grammatically, the first one could be "I," "you," or "we."

The day you lie to me is the day I'll divorce you/The day you lie to me will be the day I divorce y

[our marriage ends]
