'Before'

Hello,

I think it's a mistake to use 'before' in the second example. Am I right?

1.5:10 pm Ten bofore five

2.5:50pm Ten to/of five.

Thanks

I teach all of these:

5:10 -- five ten, ten past five, ten after five

5:50 -- five fifty, ten of six, ten to six, ten before six
