Before

Dear Teachers,

1. He stood before her with his hand behind his back.

- Why don’t we use “in front of” instead of “before”?

2. She had been an on-again-off- again member.

- What does “on-again-off-again” mean?

3. I was pretty much head over heels for her after that first date.

- What does “head over heels for her” mean?

4. You don't need to go out of your way to hurt your date's feelings.

- What does “ go out of your way” mean?

Thanks very much to Teachers,
