Been all over me

Hi teachers. Can I use "been all over me" in the context below to mean that he has been watching me or following me everywhere?

I have tried to tell everyone that it was just an accident, but they are convinced it was a suicide attempt, so one of my friends has been all over me ever since to make sure that I don't try to kill myself again.
