bed slopes

Could you please tell me how to phrase the following naturally?

The bed slopes. Make sure you lie with your head on the higher part of the bed not with your head on the lower part of the bed and your legs elevated.

The seat cushion slopes so to be comfortable you need to lean back into the chair. You can't sit upright on the edge of the chair. You won't be comfortable.

Thank you
