BED SHEET HELP please

Would one say :

1 The bed sheet is too small to go over all corners of the matress.

I know the last part is redundant but if you had to add something after "too small" what would it be?

but if you wanted to say something like what I said , how would you say it, "that the sheet can't go over the matress"
