How would you say this?
I thought he would become less pretentious as with age but not at all. He's gotten worse with age.

I thought he would become less pretentious as with age, but not at all. He's gotten worse with age. We'd use 'got' in BrE, not 'gotten'.

I thought he would become less pretentious as with age, but not at all. He's gotten worse with age.

We'd use 'got' in BrE, not 'gotten'.
