Become effective seven business days after

Hi
I am reading an agreement and just wanted to make sure that "seven business days after" here "
Mailed notifications shall become effective seven business days after they are posted." means "on the seventh business day counting from the next business day after (the day) notifications are posted". I am right?

How is the reader supposed to know when something was posted? Generally speaking, 'posted' means 'placed in the mailbox'. The postmark on the envelope could well be the next day, if something were placed in the mailbox late in the
