One question, regarding "become", which I haven't found anywhere... I am currently checking a friend's thesis... He uses phrases like the following "Inserting XYZ into Eq.#1.a, the equation becomes A=X+Y-Z" I find the usage of become in this sentence a bit odd... I would re-phrase the entire sentence, but before I do this I wanted to check, if this is maybe a very common and correct usage of become... Thank you very much.
