Because...but

We should just order a cheesecake today, because they're delicious, but cheap.


Is it ok? but adds another predicate, but I am wondering if it can be used to introduce a predicate that's secondary or complementary to the last predicate, like in the example above.

It seems to me to make more sense to say 'and'. We should just order a cheesecake today, because they're delicious and cheap. I wouldn't say the preceding comma is wrong, but I think it wouldn't usually be used.
