Because when things are discussed in writing there is ample of time

Please correct the lines of the following conversation:

Jane: You didn't tell me the details how to apply for the admission.
Jack: I will e-mail you the details of the process.
Jane: Why can't you tell me now?
Jack: I prefer to do such things in writing.
Jane: Why?
Jack: Because when things are discussed in writing there is ample of time to think before we put the thoughts into words. Besides in such a way you would be able to review your every opinion and won't make any slip. The other person will also be comfortable with this because he can easily make up his mind before asking any further question. I hope you get he point now. I limit my talk to only casual matters because in talk there are chances that you will miss many points unless you have rehearsed everything before r have a written note.
Jane: I reckon you are right.

admission
can be of many kinds such as admission to a university, college, flying school etc. So, shouldn't the be used in front of admission? Perhaps, it shouldn't be because Jack would know what admission Jane was talking about, otherwise he would have asked What admission?.
