because in a noun (nominal) clause and because in an adverbial clause ?

0Hi! Was just wondering whether somebody could explain to me what is the difference between the two 01i00because02i00-clauses in (1) and (2):02br

00 (1) He punched the wall 01i00because he was angry02i02br
02br
00 (2) It is 01i00because he is angry02i02br
02br
00Is it that the 01i00because02i00 clause in (1) is an "adverbial clause" and that the 01i00because 02i00clause in (2) is a noun or nominal clause? 02br

00 It's just that I've read countless times that 01i00because02i00 introduces an adverbial clause, and never seen it written that 01i00because02i00 can be part of a noun clause.02br
