Because

Hello, I found this sentence.
She passed the exam because she studied hard. Could also the past continuous be possible in this sentence? She passed the exam because she was studying hard? And what about the past perfect?
She passed the exam because she had been studying hard.
She passed the exam because she had studied hard.

Thank you
