"because"

Seldom do I see anyone, anymore, use "because" in everyday, informal writing. More often I see "cuz" or "cos". This irritates me. Exactly how acceptable are these usages, if at all?
Another question is: Are the sentences above and the current sentence correctly written?
Thank You,

  • [/nq] I would say that this usage is sub-standard - but in informal writing such sub-standard usages are fairly common.
  • But whether I would find it irritating would depend very much on context.
